To start your own business in Utherverse, you will first need to obtain a business license, this will allow for the necessary tools to ensure success.

What Is Included in a Business License?

1) “UV Business Badge” That can be displayed over your username in world.

2) Access to an exclusive list of more than 30 business properties from your social center property catalog.

3) Ability to apply for high traffic doors on the streets of RedLight Center, Virtual Vancouver other Utherverse owned and operated virtual worlds

How much is a Business License?

250 Rays for 3 months

400 Rays for 6 months

750 Rays for 1 year

Ok I’ve got my badge, now how to I access the property catalogue?

1) Login to your Social Center profile

2) From the main navigation menu choose "Property" > "Add Property"

3) Choose the top right category called "Business"

**Please note: this option will ONLY appear on your profile page once your registration has been successful and the business license has been granted to you.

What are Rays, and how does this translate into Real World USD?

To purchase rays, please select the buy option, available at http://www.utherverse.com/net/market/ You can select the price at which you’d like to buy the rays, and the amount of rays that you’d like to purchase. Once you’ve selected those amounts, please press the buy button. You will be required to enter your pin number to complete this transaction. It can take up to 7 days to match a sale bid with a purchase bid, and if there is not a successful transaction the reserved Rays or funds will be returned to your Bank Account or Trader Account. You can also sign up for a monthly rays subscription via http://www.utherverse.com/net/market/rayssubscription. Once the transaction has been completed the Rays will appear in your ‘Bank Account balance on your profile home page at www.utherverse.com

How do I sell Rays?

You can sell rays that you have accumulated in exchange for real life funds, deposited to your trader account once the sale has been completed. To sell rays, please visit http://www.utherverse.com/net/market/. Once at the marketplace place, please input the amount of rays you’d like to sell and the price at which you’d like to sell the rays. Once you’ve selected those amounts, please press the sell button. You will be required to enter your pin number to complete this transaction. Once the transaction has been completed the proceeds will be deposited to your Trader account balance. It can take up to 7 days to match a sale bid with a purchase bid, and if there is not a successful transaction the reserved Rays or funds will be returned to your Bank Account or Trader Account.

How do you deposit funds to your trader account?

You can manually deposit funds to your trader account to purchase more rays for in world use. To deposit funds please visit http://www.utherverse.com/net/market/SelectTransIn. There are multiple options available for depositing funds including Credit Card, Check or Money Order and if you have an account established, via Alertpay.

 How do I withdraw funds via trader account?

You can withdraw funds from your Trader account at any time by visiting http://www.utherverse.com/net/market/SelectTransOut provided you have enough funds to warrant withdrawal. To withdraw real funds you will be required to ID verify your account prior to requesting withdrawal. To ID verify we require that you provide a picture of yourself, holding valid identification and upload the image to www.utherverse.com/ID. Once your account has been ID verified we provide both Check and Alertpay as payment options. To use Alertpay account you must first set up and verify your Alertpay account via the Utherverse Marketplace

Clothing

You want to become your own fashion designer; you want to create In World designs and textures that can be virtually worn on avatars. People interested in this field must have at least beginner knowledge on graphic programs, such as Photoshop.

To start Go to your social center>Clothing>My Outfits

From here you will need to download the Designer Kit and Texture Pack

After this has finished downloading you will need to create a folder entitled “Clothing Designs etc”

Right click on your download and extract files to your folder.

You will now have an area with all the textures and permissions for you to start creating your clothing.

Go back to your social center and click Create outfit.

You now have access to use the templates and mesh provided, now you are ready to start designing.

Once you have established a solid base of collections and you are ready to put them to market, they’re many ways Utherverse supports marketing of your business.

How do I manage my properties?

First you will need to go to you social center>Property>Manage Property under your chosen property click manage.

From Here you will have access to everything about your specific property including licensing, stats, doors, rules, layouts etc.

Creating keywords to help maximize search results, checking stat information and managing your properties rules are great tools to ensure your properties gain the full benefit of what Utherverse has to offer.

How do I transfer my properties?

 Social center>Property>Manage Property>Edit> Transfer Layout (This is a little blue button to the right of your property information)

Here you now have ability to save your layouts and purchase layout slots.

In order to transfer you will first need to purchase a layout slot from the drop down box on the right. After you have saved your layout click transfer, please keep in mind if this is a onetime transfer or this layout will need to be saved for multiple transfers.

If you would like to save this layout for future transfers make sure to click “Allow this layout to be re-transferable” under the member name. If this is not clicked the layout will be transferred to the member and you will not have the option of retaining your property.
